Summer Camp Registration 2024

Grade level refers to the grade your child will have COMPLETED in the 2023-2024 school year.

You can view all the camp descriptions at a glance here (on SPI's website) before beginning registration. Be sure to review the tabs at the tops of this page for registration tips, scholarship info, or to read camp policies.

The  green "click here to register" button below allows users to quickly select multiple sessions at once for their cart (filling in the Monday checkbox will autofill the rest of the week).

Clicking on the "express register" button beside each camp name takes users you to a landing page for that session, allowing you to review details before adding it to your cart.

A parent/guardian must set up their family's Jumbula account and complete registration for children in their care and household ONLY. Do not include other children (including cousins from multiple households, grandchildren not in your custody, friends) in your Jumbula household profile.

SPI Summer Camps 2024

What to expect if this is your first year registering for SPI camps

Our weeklong, half-day camp sessions occur at various outdoor partner venues in our community. These include the Brown Family Environmental Center (Gambier), Ariel-Foundation Park (Mount Vernon), Columbia Elementary (Mount Vernon), and the Knox County Airport (Mount Vernon). Camps are led by certified teachers, assisted by teenage STEAM Team volunteers and/or SPI staff. As we get closer to the start of the season, you will get an email confirming the particular venue(s) and articulating other camp details. In the event that a field trip is scheduled for a camp session, we will include this information in pre-camp communications and collect an additional fee.  (Those with financial need may have field trip fees waived, thanks to the generosity of SPI families whose donations are used to support accessibility).  Families should expect that their SPI campers will be outdoors for the duration of camp (with few exceptions). Kids with phones or tablets are asked to leave them at home or to keep them in a backpack.

Having trouble registering?

Please contact Jane Hildebrand by email at [email protected] with registration questions.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If your registration issue has to do with credit card payment, you do NOT have to pay using PayPal!

You can bypass PayPal's prompts that you do so, by following these easy steps:

1. Select "Pay by Credit" at checkout.

2. Click on the yellow PayPal logo to advance to the next screen

(they don't present you with an obvious "submit" or "next" button)

3. IGNORE the PayPal login area on the top half of the page. Scroll down to the gray button "Pay with Debit or Credit Card."

We ask that everyone with access to a credit or debit card pay using that method. Cash payment is an option available to those without access to these cards and/or who qualify for our need-based tuition rate (see scholarship tab above).
